About Girls EmpoweredWhy Girls Empowered, Boys Empowered, Kids Empowered:

Relational Aggression, bullying and mean-spirited behavior are growing problems for children beginning in Pre-school.

Teaching kids, parents and teachers how to deal with relational aggression, bullying, and mean-spirited behavior is our specialty. We teach kids to identify the meannie behavior, what it looks like to be a target and bystander, and how to stand up for yourself and others.

Confidence is the best protection against bullies and relational aggression. Our programs teach how to build confidence and self-esteem, how to problem-solve and deal with conflict, how to make and keep healthy friendships, and social skills such as how to handle rejection, be an active listener, saying and accepting NO, taking turns, compromising, and apologizing.

Teaching communication skills is another important piece to dealing with relational aggression and bullying. Our programs teach the different styles of communication, how kids can be mean to each other through non-verbal body language, and how to be assertive.

For children who have become a target of relational aggression and bullying we offer ONE-ON-ONE Coaching with the child and parents. Through ONE-ON-ONE Coaching, parents and children will learn strategies and be given tools to practice at home to deal with relational aggression and bullying. Click here to for information on ONE-ON-ONE Coaching. It can be done by phone or in person .
