About Girls EmpoweredWhy Girls Empowered:

The mission of Girls Empowered is to help all girls improve their confidence, handle life’s situations and feel positive about themselves in a safe, supportive learning environment. Girls Empowered programs put girls at ease in comfortable groups that do not allow cliques or social hierarchies. Each girl is encouraged to express her unique talents and voice her opinion. Girls feel heard, encouraged and nurtured as they practice the skills they will need to succeed, such as assertiveness, public speaking, clear communication, self- protection and self-care. Learning these skills
from professional instructors while a girl is young can prevent major problems from
occurring later. Empowered girls grow into powerful women.
